DISCIPLES OF CHRIST

First Christian Church of Weston began its history in 1900 when a Christian Church was established at Roseland, a community about 5 miles west of our present location.  In 1914, the church moved from the Roseland Community, now known as Alla, to Weston.

We are an autonomous congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the first Protestant body born on American soil, with Scottish-Presbyterian roots. It is out of a strong commitment to Christian unity that many of our beliefs and practices take shape.  Along with the confession of the lordship of Jesus Christ, believer's baptism by immersion and weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper, we believe the Bible is the authoritative word of God, and the measuring stick for what we believe and do.  We welcome you to our worship as we seek a religious faith that is intelligent, relevant and vital in the life of the changing world.
